Blockchain Release: New Blessed Snapshot

The core developers have tagged a new 2021.06.09.0 Hotspot firmware release which contains a newly generated snapshot. This would allow newly onboarded and previously un-synced hotspots to sync to the head of the blockchain much faster.

  • miner#814: Update core and set blessed snap-876961​

    This change contains blockchain-core fixes and a newly blessed chain generated snapshot at height 876961.

  • miner#813: Dont allow consensus participation in follow mode​

    This change prohibits Hotspots from participating in consensus group if they are operating in follow-mode. A Hotspot can be set to follow mode via touch file or configuration. By default Hotspots are always validating transactions and blocks unless in follow mode.

  • blockchain-core#858: Fix ledger upgrade marking​

    The core developers noticed that the gateway ledger upgrade marking code didn't properly commit the ledger context, this has been fixed.

We have been beta testing 2021.06.09.0 since June 9th, 2021 12:30 PM PT. Current ETA for GA is 2:30 PM PT, June 9th, 2021.
